Mission, Vision and Values

The mission of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Seville is to meet the health demands of today's society through the training of health professionals. This objective will be carried out using criteria of excellence, both in the humanistic field, as well as in clinical and translational research, through the teaching and professional development of the agents involved in the degrees taught.

It is therefore essential that students actively acquire the knowledge, competencies, skills, attitudes and values necessary to achieve a solid professional training in various health care settings. Furthermore, we consider it an essential goal for the Faculty of Medicine to develop high quality research, which promotes the generation and dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of society as a whole.

The vision of the Faculty of Medicine is to be a leader in teaching and research in the field of health sciences. We see ourselves as an educational and research centre with a long historical tradition, committed to scientific research, innovation and focused on the student, the patient and society. Our priority objective in the coming years is quality, understood as a factor of progress and continuous improvement in all our university functions and activities, including teaching, training, research, infrastructures, teaching staff and service administration.
